Psalm of Lament

O Lord, you are the ruler of the universe,
God, you see the stars in their places.       
                                              
Remember your wounded sheep,
Scattered by the violence of false shepherds.

Shepherds have betrayed us,
But you are the true Faithful Shepherd     

Remind us of your tender love,
Into your fold of shalom bring us.      

We look to you O God for justice,
We look to your hand for guidance      

All that we have lost, all that we have found,
Pales in comparison to knowing that you are near       

O Lord, we are your sheep,
The people of your flock            

See the injustice, the breaking of fellowship,
Look upon us in our trials                                          

Have mercy upon us,
Show your goodness to us.  

You have brought us as though through fire,
Shepherded us through raging waters.           

May we always praise you,
May words of praise be always on our lips.
